The North Country Fair, although the smallest among the major folk festivals in Alberta, offers an idyllic fair experience located on the Driftpile River, south of the community of Driftpile. Typically scheduled during the weekend closest to the summer solstice, this year’s festival will take place in on June 23-25, 2023!
Drawing in around 5,000 attendees from all over Alberta and British Columbia, the event boasts dozens of entertainers, including soloists, bands, and even international groups. With a wide range of entertainment and activities available, the fair caters to all age groups and interests. A children’s tent and wandering children’s entertainers, jugglers, and clowns provide amusement for the little ones, while alternative health remedies, workshops, and massages are available for adults. Numerous tents sell crafts, souvenirs, and performers’ CDs, making for a delightful shopping experience.
